Twitter Reportedly Considering Tipping Feature – Will Bitcoin Believer Jack Dorsey Integrate BTC?

You might be able to send tips to your favorite personalities on Twitter sometime in the future.

The social media giant is planning to undergo a number of product changes to enhance its user experience, according to a report published by The Information. One of the proposed changes is the addition of a tipping feature.

The piece cites sources “familiar” with the firm’s decisions who say the social media giant is considering a service that will enable users to send each other currency. However, the sources didn’t tackle the subject of cryptocurrency or confirm whether Square might be involved in the microtransaction feature.

Jack Dorsey, chief executive of both Square and Twitter, is an outspoken fan of Bitcoin. His fondness for the digital asset sparked the formation of Square’s cryptocurrency division.

The chief executive also has an ambitious plan to introduce the king coin to 1.2 billion people in Africa.
