Tron CEO Justin Sun Invites President Trump to Lunch With Crypto Leaders and Legendary Investor Warren Buffett
Tron and BitTorrent CEO Justin Sun is looking for more friends to join his upcoming lunch date with billionaire businessman Warren Buffett. In a recent tweet, Sun, the creator of TRX and BTT, the 10th and 37th largest cryptocurrencies respectively, is extending an invitation to US President Donald Trump, the latest high-profile figure on the global stage to bash Bitcoin and crypto.
In a tweet to Trump, who says he’s “no fan” of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies because they’re “based on thin air”, Sun promises that after a meal with him, he’ll have a firm grasp of the technology.
Mr. President, you are misled by fake news. #Bitcoin & #Blockchain happens to be the best chance for US! I'd love to invite you to have lunch with crypto leaders along with @WarrenBuffett on July 25. I guarantee you after this lunch, nobody will know crypto more than you!

Sun, a protégé of billionaire investor and Alibaba chairman Jack Ma, won a lunch date with the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway after placing the $4.6 million-winning bid at Buffett’s annual charity auction for Glide, the San Francisco-based foundation that provides services and support for the homeless.
Buffett is a long-time Bitcoin skeptic. In an interview prior to Berkshire Hathaway’s 2019 annual meeting in May, Buffett, who has called Bitcoin “rat poison”, doubled down on his anti-crypto rhetoric, bemoaning Bitcoin as a “gambling device”.
Sun’s lunch date with Buffett is scheduled for July 25th in the Bay Area and is open to seven guests. Among the attendees is crypto industry leader Charlie Lee, the creator of the world’s fourth-largest cryptocurrency Litecoin. Sun hopes the meeting will be informative and will serve as an opportunity to flip Buffett – and now Trump – on their harsh stance against Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
