The Anonymous ‘Mr. Dove’ Collects Bitcoin and 3 Altcoins to Feed Birds: Live on YouTube
YouTuber ‘Mr. Dove’ has set up a live stream for bird and crypto lovers. Viewers can feed the birds by donating Bitcoin, Litecoin, Nano or Dogecoin to any one of four addresses.
Mr. Dove has posted the crypto addresses along with QR codes for crypto enthusiasts to make a modest donation of $.50. According to the YouTube page, the bird feeder is located in an urban area of Slovakia in Central Europe. It releases food automatically whenever a crypto donation is made.
“If you send 0.5 USD in cryptocurrency to one of the addresses above, local computer will get instant notification from block.io service (or from NANO node (snapy.io) – depend on received currency). After that, the program send a request to Arduino ESP8266 (located on the feeder) to release food.”
If a donor decides to exceed the $0.50 needed to trigger the feeder, the feeder will still only trigger once. And if there happens to be a dearth of donations, the birds will still get fed since the feeder is set up to dispense food automatically every hour from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Dove says he’s seeing all kinds of birds making the dive for some crypto feed, including the house sparrow, collared dove, great tit, blue tit and coal tit.
