🌿 Oregano Oil: A Powerful Elixir with Countless Benefits—but Use with Caution!
During the cold and flu season, I always keep oregano oil on hand. Its potency makes it effective against various types of infections. However, if you’re on medications or uncertain about its usage, please consult your physician. Safety first! 🩺
DISCLAIMER: This is what I do for my family (not medical advice). You can research on your own to see if this would work for you.
Here’s a simple recipe to make your own oregano oil at home:
1️⃣ Combine equal parts dried oregano and olive or avocado oil in a clean mason jar.
2️⃣ Boil a pot of water, then turn off the heat.
3️⃣ Place the jar in the hot water pot for 10-15 minutes.
4️⃣ Remove the jar and let it sit on a windowsill for 1-2 weeks.
5️⃣ Shake the jar once a day for proper infusion.
6️⃣ After the designated time, strain the mixture and transfer it to amber dropper bottles. Voila! Your homemade oregano oil is ready to use! 🍶
How to Use Oregano Oil:
🔸 During an active infection, take one dropper three times a day.
🔸 Avoid long-term usage due to its potency. Instead, use it as a preventative measure when illnesses are circulating.
🔸 CAUTION: Oregano oil is hot! Remember to take it with ice-cold water for a soothing effect. ❄️
For Kids: I recommend diluting oregano oil in a 1:3 ratio with coconut oil. Test it on your own skin first, then gently apply it to the bottom of their feet, chest, back, or even around the ears for ear infections. Always perform a patch test and observe any reactions before applying it to your little one. Safety is paramount! 🧒🏽👶🏼
Remember, always prioritize your well-being and consult professionals when needed. Stay healthy, friends! 💚
