Houseleek Tea for Chronic Airway Inflammation, Hemorrhoids and Ulcers

Common houseleek (Sempervivum tectorum) is widely recognized for its powerful medicinal properties. Although you may primarily know it as a natural remedy for ear problems, this versatile plant offers much more. Did you know that freshly squeezed houseleek juice is a popular home treatment for stomach ulcers? It soothes inflammatory processes in the mucous membranes and strengthens the body, but that is not all – it is also known to relieve headaches, reduce high fevers, and even stop nosebleeds.

When we combine it with honey, houseleek juice becomes even more potent. This mixture can be used to heal mouth sores and warts. I also remember seeing my grandma using the fresh leaves of this plant – she applied them to the skin to treat burns, herpes, and cracked skin. The anti-inflammatory properties of houseleek make it an effective remedy for ulcers, hemorrhoids, and even to cleanse intestinal parasites.

In phytotherapy (the use of plants for medicinal purposes), houseleek tea is often used to help lower blood sugar levels, making it an effective natural remedy for those dealing with diabetes. If you want to strengthen your immune system, make sure to regularly consume houseleek. The great news is, no known side effects have been reported with the use of this herb.

Houseleek Tea for Chronic Inflammation and Hemorrhoids

This tea made from houseleek leaves is beneficial for treating chronic airway inflammation, gastric mucosa inflammation, and internal hemorrhoids. To prepare the tea:

  1. Place 8-10 larger fresh houseleek leaves in 500 ml of cold water.

  2. Allow the mixture to stand for 8-10 hours in a covered bowl.

  3. After 10 hours, strain the tea and consume it throughout the day for maximum effect.

This may surprise you, but Houseleek can also help with fighting Helicobacter pylori, a bacteria responsible for various stomach issues. Simply chew 3 houseleek petals each morning for 3 to 6 months to help combat this bacteria.

Natural Remedy with Honey and Houseleek

Houseleek, when mixed with honey, creates a powerful natural remedy that boosts immunity, promotes fertility, and fights a range of bacteria, including Escherichia coli. Here’s how to prepare it:

  1. Finely chop 25 houseleek petals and blend them.

  2. Add the blended petals to a jar containing 1 kg of honey.

  3. To this mixture, add the juice of 1 lemon, 10 cloves, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, ½ teaspoon of turmeric, and a small amount of ground nutmeg.

  4. Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon, seal the jar, and let it sit for 24 hours at room temperature.

For best results, adults should take 1 tablespoon of this honey mixture 3 times a day, while children can take 1 teaspoon 2 times a day.
