Crypto to Hit Reality TV – Meet the Nakamotos?

A new crypto-based reality TV show called “BlockBattle – Who’s the Next Satoshi?” is set for release in Asia this October.

“BlockBattle” will showcase blockchain development teams in a five-episode season. Ten teams will face-off in a series of one-on-one battles, presentations and competitions in front of judges and an online audience who will live-vote to help find the next “Satoshi Nakamoto” – the unknown creator of Bitcoin.

The big prize includes “one hundred million Won, an expert mentoring program from professionals all over the world, and the exposure and opportunity to be supported by Global investment funds.”

The show appears to take competitive elements from shows like “Chopped” while incorporating real judges who can affect the fates of startup companies, similar to shows like “Shark Tank.”

Judges will include crypto firebrand Roger Ver of Bitcoin.com, Damian Williams of Alchemist ventures, Rayol Hwang of Hillstone Partners, Lee Shin-Hye of GBIC and various other big names in the cryptocurrency world.

The first episode will air on October 19 on Asia Economy TV in Korea, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam and Hong Kong. It will also be streamed live on the YouTube channel “Coincast.”

Teams who want to apply can do so at nextsatoshi.com by September 5th.
