Bitcoin and XRP
The host of CNBC’s Crypto Trader Ran NeuNer has gone from questioning the reason for XRP’s existence to apparently fully backing the coin.
In a new tweet, NeuNer says the recent Bitcoin Cash hard fork and subsequent hash war is an example of why traders should choose to buy XRP.

Ethereum
A slick new Ethereum mining rig designed for the mainstream is in development.
The new company Coinmine is backed by Coinbase Ventures, and says its device will cost abour $800, using less power than a PlayStation.
Ripple
UC Berkeley is using funding from Ripple’s University Blockchain Research Initiative to “fund faculty and student research, activities and related events across the Berkeley campus, including Engineering, the Law School, School of Information, and other colleges or programs.”
The funding will be used primarily to power research in blockchain and distributed ledgers, cryptocurrency and digital payments, cryptography and blockchain’s impact on the global economy.
Litecoin
New data from Coin ATM Radar shows that Litecoin is the second most popular coin on crypto ATMs, after Bitcoin.
The numbers show there are 2,329 ATMs that support Litecoin worldwide, with 3,969 ATMs up and running that support Bitcoin.
Tron
The latest numbers from DappReview show decentralized apps on the Tron network have more transaction volume than Ethereum and EOS.

Monero
A researcher behind a key feature of Monero’s crypto system has earned a prestigious academic award.
As reported by The Next Web, cryptographer Joseph Liu became the Australian Computer Society’s researcher of the year at the group’s yearly disruptor awards for developing Monero’s ring signature algorithm which obscures a user’s identity.
VeChain
Arket, in-house clothing brand of fashion and design conglomerate H&M, has confirmed that it is testing VeChain on beanies.
