Bitcoin Startup Lolli Teams Up With eBay to Bring BTC Rewards to 127 Million Users

Bitcoin rewards startup Lolli is teaming up with eBay to give its 127 million users a chance to get their money back in BTC when they shop on eBay’s marketplace.

Lolli co-founder and CEO Alex Adelman announced in a blog post that Lolli users can now earn 1% through the eBay collaboration.

“We are thrilled to partner with eBay, the largest online auction marketplace, and give over 127 million eBay users the opportunity to earn Bitcoin back on their orders. eBay made online shopping more accessible to the world for the past 25 years.

Today, we are proud to partner and make bitcoin more accessible to those users and continue our mission of furthering bitcoin education and adoption.”

The integration of the eBay marketplace comes just in time for the holiday shopping frenzy, which is expected to generate $139 billion in e-commerce sales across all US retailers.

“We’re proud to launch with eBay just in time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday as a treat to our loyal Lolli shoppers. We’ve been working tirelessly to make this integration possible in time for people to earn Bitcoin on all their holiday shopping this year. This is the way.”

Founded back in 2018, Lolli was created with the goal of integrating crypto payments with e-commerce while at the same time raising awareness about the benefits of digital currency.

In an interview with CNN’s Fist Move in February this year, Adelman says many of its users first experience Bitcoin through the Lolli app and that 90% of their users are holding on to their Bitcoin.

“A lot of our users treat it as an investment. I think the data right now is that over 90% of our users just hold it as an investment. Very few actually exchange it out, and I think that’s a sign that people are treating it as an investment account. They are treating it as a savings technology, which is, I think, Bitcoin’s biggest feature right now.”

So far, Lolli has partnered with more than 1,000 merchants, including Priceline, Expedia, and Glossier.

Earlier this month, Lolli teamed up with Samsung to give its users the chance to earn BTC when they purchase one of Samsung’s electronic products.
