Bitcoin and Litecoin Lead List of Cryptos Circling the Globe

Crypto ATMs

Litecoin takes the top spot as the biggest gainer for crypto ATM installations in February, followed by Bitcoin, Ether and Dash.

The month saw an uptick of 120 machines that support Litecoin, from 2,775 to 2,895 ATMs.

The total number of crypto ATMs around the globe increased from 4,291 to 4,387, according to data compiled by CoinATMRadar. The US leads with 2,472 ATMs at the close of the month, up 59 installations, followed by the UK with 210 ATMs, up 7, and Canada with 633 ATMS, up 6.

Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Greece and the Netherlands were among the countries with net gains, ending the month with 2-4 additional ATMs each.

Bitcoin Wallets

The number of Bitcoin wallet users tracked by Blockchain.com has topped 34 million, surging 48% from 23.6 million users one year ago, as Bitcoin trading, storing and use steadily increases.

Use cases for Bitcoin and crypto range from online platforms to in-store purchases, to vehicles on the road.

UK

A man in the UK was spotted flaunting crypto stickers.

Londoners like Dave Jenkins, who was profiled by news outlet Decrypt, are selling Bitcoin out of their cabs, and accepting crypto via the Lightning Network through payment platform FastBitcoins.

Spain

A taxi driver in Barcelona was also rolling with Bitcoin, accepting BTC payments.

Colombia

Athena Bitcoin has installed a Bitcoin ATM in Cúcuta, Colombia on the border of Venezuela. The ATM allows customers to buy and sell Colombian pesos for Bitcoin. It also supports Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash.
